Yes, my bad. I haven’t written in so long! Life has got a bit hectic and full speed a head for me.
So here are my, delayed, August favourites….
- Pixi Glow Tonic £18
I’ve always suffered with redness and after avidly searching the net to find a savior I came across this and it has changed my life. It’s alcohol free, which is great, and it removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin and helps firm and tighten at the same time, but it has seriously reduced the redness on my face. Just add a couple of drops to a cotton pad after cleansing and wipe over your face and you will notice how clean your face feels and looks! In the morning your face does not look dull and pasty, it makes your skin have a natural and healthy glow to it. I think I will be using this a lot during the Season transition!
2. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm: Striking – £7.99
I think Matte lipsticks and lipgloss’ look ultra stylish and flawless and when I discovered this Matte Balm I fell in love. With a balm, it is very easy to apply as it glides along the lips, I find with other Matte lip products such as the MAC lipsticks, they seem quite stiff to apply and you can’t get a smooth and precise finish. This colour is in Striking which is a gorgeous red, which is not too dark or light, just red, which I think works perfect with the matte element. This was a great Summer product for me as I found it stayed on well and I never has to reapply. I can’t wait to try out the other colours Revlon have!
3. Urban Decay – Naked 2 £38
I’ve had this palette for quite a while now and I have been reaching for it a lot over the past few weeks. Now that we’re coming into Autumn I feel like this palette in particular displays more Autumnal Colours. I really love, Chopper, Half Baked and Bootycall, and I find myself using them a lot, which shows as they are pretty much worn down! I think the golds, purples and browns will be perfect for A/W and they are extremely pigmented so if you have a night out you can build them up! I adore this palette as they blend beautifully.
4. Lanza Keratin Healing Oil – £20
I’m not sure where you could buy this product from but I got this from my hairdressers in Sheffield. She used it on my hair before blow drying and I just had to get it! It leaves my hair silky smooth and hydrated, with Summer my hair has become
really dry and this oil hydrates from root to tip. Just apply a couple of drop to your palms and rub through your hair. It also adds shine to your hair too which makes it look healthy!
So that’s enough with the beauty products otherwise I could be here all night!
Some things I need to mention is that I am loving Pretty Little Liars. I know I might be a little late on the bandwagon but I am hooked, and I cannot stop watching it. I have a lot of catching up to do but I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen!
Another thing is Autumn. I love jumpers, boots, hats and scarves and the shops are parading these stylishly! I always find now is the right time to do your Autumn/Winter shopping.
And Ice Tea. Just Ice Tea.
Last but not least…my job!
I am enjoying my job so much and I can’t actually believe that I have a proper grown up job where I get to write, which is why I have been crazy busy lately, but I’m hoping my life slows down soon.
What else have people been loving?
Lots of Love,
