My everyday make up routine

Working a 9-5 job Monday to Friday is a struggle and some days I find it hard to gather motivation to make my face look presentable, especially when I’m half asleep. After weeks of doing this I’ve got into a routine that I’m happy with, so I thought I’d share with you my everyday make up routine.

I wake up at 7:30, shower, wash my hair and just try to wake myself up the best I can.

I love how my make up and other beauty products are stored at the moment, all in coordinating pots and drawers which makes it super easy to find what I’m looking for!

I moisturise with Nivea everyday essentials with spf15 which has a primer in it too! I’m super lazy when it comes to prepping my face everyday so this is a must have product for me. After, I use my trusty Mac foundation and buff that into my skin using the Real Techniques buffing brush. I love this brush and I find it makes my make up stay on all day and gives my skin a natural look.

Next I use the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer in 01. This is my favourite concealer of all time! It is the right shade for covering up imperfections and also brightening the under eye area. For 4.99 it is super affordable and is just…wow. I can’t get enough of this product!

I think if you have a flawless base then the rest will follow easily 🙂

After covering up all my dark circles and redness I then move on to my eyebrows. I use gimme brow by Benefit and an eyebrow palette which I think is called beauty brow. I received it in one of my beauty boxes and it’s incredible! I only use the lightest shade but the other ones in the collection I have would be great for all skin tones. I shade my brows in as I feel this gives them a natural finish. Gimme Brow is also great if you’re in a rush.

I add highlighter under the arch of my brow which is by No7 to add definition. Now it’s moving into Autumn I tend to use golds and Browns on my eyelids which I tend to reach for Sleek palettes for this. To apply eyeshadow I use the Real Techniques Bold Metal brush in 201. I then add eyeliner which I think at the moment is by Rimmel… I always use a pen as I find this makes the eyeliner easy to apply. I then use Benefit They’re Real mascara to finish off the eyes.

To finish off I add bronzer which is one by Loreal and blusher which is MAC mineralise blush in Shade gentle. Then I add highlighter, again NO7, and translucent powder and the job is done!

My lipstick changes everyday depending on what mood I’m in. Sometimes a deep plum or a natural nude, I think lips is the most challenging for me as I can never decide what colour to go for!

So this is my everyday make up routine and usually takes around 20 minutes to complete. This look implements my skins tones so it will not suit everyone! I think it’s really important to find an everyday make up look that you can do quickly if you’re in a rush.

What are everyone else’s tips for doing their make up before work?

Lots of love
