Product Review: Soap and Glory Skincare

Product Review: Soap and Glory Skincare

I have been looking for some new skincare products to help with my redness, spots and pores for a while now and I stumbled across these beauty’s that seemed to be just what I was looking for!

I love Soap and Glory products, especially their indulgent bathing selection, as it is incredibly luxurious and smells amazing, so I did not expect anything less from their skincare range. Admittedly, I have never tried any of their
skincare products before, just because I usually stick to the same products, but I decided to take the plunge and have a change!

I’ve been trying them for about two weeks now, so here are my thoughts on them!

No Clogs Allowed: Deep Pore Detox Mask £11.50

This Deep Pore Detox Mask is targeted at people with oily and combination skin, which is perfect for my skin type! I find that towards the end of my day my skin becomes progressively oily and therefore leaves me with open pores and spots that are more visible. This mask is designed to open up your pores and give it a real cleanse, which is just what I have been searching for. The product comes in a handy tube which is great, as this prevents the product from drying out and makes it much easier to store! It is self heating, so as soon as you put it on your face you can really start to feel it working, and the heat makes is very relaxing and calming; perfect if you are having a stressful day! In the past I have found it really difficult to judge when to take a mask off, but this changes to a blue colour when it is ready to come off. It usually takes around about five minutes for it to change colour and then all you need to do is get a damp cloth and sweep away. What I love most about this product is that you don’t have to really scrub to get it off. With other face masks, I’ve found that they are really drying, and you have to give your face a good old scrub; this product is really convenient for a good quick detox. It suggests that you use this once a week, but I have been using it twice a week as my skin really needs a good therapy session at the moment. You only need a grape-sized amount and for a 100ml tube, I’m sure that this is going to see me through the Spring time!  Over the past two weeks my skin has never felt so soft and my pores have been visibly reduced, and I can only imagine that this is the product that has made this miracle happen. I find it so much easier to apply make up and my skin seems a lot more airbrushed, even with just a small amount of foundation. I really recommend this product for anyone who wants to reduce visibility of their pores and anyone that just wants a good cleanse!

The Fab Pore: Moisture Lotion £12.00

I thought it would be really good to get a coordinating moisturising lotion to go with my face mask as I wanted to see what the full effects could be like. This lotion is designed to shrink your pores to leave you with beautifully clear and shine free skin. I’ve been using this every morning and evening (which is what they recommend) and I have noticed a significant difference! My T-Zone in particular seems a lot more matt and my make up sits on my skin a lot better than it ever did before. Like the detox mask, this comes in a squeezy 50ml tube, and a little bit goes a long way! It also smells incredible, almost like a spa, which is down to the fruits and plant extracts in the product it self. It’s really difficult to find a moisturiser that not only makes your skin feel soft, but also reduced the visibility of your pores. The only downside to this product is that I wish it had an SPF in it as this would be perfect to take away on holiday due to the convenient size.

Both of these products have made a significant difference to my skin and are a must have for anyone that has trouble with pores, redness and spots. I just love Soap and Glory products and I’m glad that the skincare range hasn’t let me down.

Has anyone got recommendations on other Soap and Glory skincare products?

Lots of Love,
