Make up Revolution Spring Essentials: First Impressions

Make up Revolution Spring Essentials: First Impressions

It seems to be that Make Up Revolution is giving the make up world a run for its money, with its affordability and extremely high quality products. I went into Superdrug and decided to pick out a few essentials items that needed to be in my make up bag this Spring.

Make Up Revolution Highlighter: Golden Lights £3.00

Who doesn’t use a highlighter these days? I’ve been on the hunt for a new highlighter for a while now and this shimmering goodness caught my eye. It is highly pigmented and is not OTT on the glitter, which some drug store highlighters are, so I immediately fell in love with it. A little goes a long way, and you only need a small dab on your make up brush to get a wonderful shimmer. It has a gorgeous gold sheen running through it, but if you don’t like this look then they also do it in a pink and peach tone. I’m so excited to use this on holiday, as the gold tones will look great with a tan!

Make Up Revolution Focus and Fix Concealer: £2.00

I’ve been using the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer for god knows how long, and I thought it was about time to have a change! My initial impressions on this is that it is very much like the Collection 2000 concealer, in terms of packaging, colour and application. However, it doesn’t seem as thick and seems a bit watery for liking, so I’m not sure how that’s going to turn out on my skin. It does blend very easily which is a bonus and is the perfect shade for my skin tone. I will keep you posted on how it turns out!

Make Up Revolution Salvation Velvet Lacquer: Keep Crying For You £3.00

I don’t think this colour will be for everyone as it is a very bold and vivid pink. I really like this colour as it is the perfect holiday shade and will really brighten up your everyday look. This lip product is incredibly creamy and pigmented and glides on so well, just like velvet! It dries matt and doesn’t seem to be too drying, unlike other matt products out there. The only downside to this is that there is an awful amount of product on the applicator, so you have to keep wiping it off; because this is such a bold colour, you really don’t need to apply a lot at all. I know this colour might not be for everyone, but Make Up Revolution have so many shades to choose from, so you’re bound to find one that suits you.

Make Up Revolution Amazing Lipstick: Bliss £1.00

I couldn’t believe the amount of shades Make Up Revolution do in their lipsticks?! I particularly liked this colour as it looked very similar to my favourite lipstick by Sleek which is called Barely There. It is the perfect peachy coral shade for Spring and I think this will match all complexions. It doesn’t seem as pigmented as the trusty Sleek lipstick but it is a very good dupe and only costs £1.00. Can you believe it? I also love the packaging as they have the colour of the lipstick imprinted onto it, so it makes it very easy to find in your make up bag and when it’s stored away.

I love Make Up Revolution products as they are so affordable and there is such a good variety of products and shades in their collection.

Is anyone else loving Make Up Revolution, if so what are your favourite products?

Lots of Love,
